Oregon Forest Photography – From Planning to Printing –

Two sessions available – April 18-21 or 25-28

I will be hosting four people in a world class mountain lodge for four days / three nights. We will be concentrating on creating forest photography in the most beautiful time of the year to be in a forest. In April the forests are green and lush. The creeks and waterfalls are prime and the moss is perfect. With only four people in the group there’s plenty of time for individual attention.

We will be spending one day in the field photographing forests, creeks and a waterfall. We will spend the second day processing our photos and choosing one of them to print. We’ll be printing a 12″x18″ image on 13×19 paper. I will have my Epson Stylus Photo R2880 printer at the lodge. Each attendee will come home with a photo that they created from planning to printing. I believe that a photograph isn’t a real photograph until it’s printed and held in your hand.

Day 1 – Arrive in the afternoon and meet and greet. Gary will cover some basics that we’ll be using the following day. We’ll eat dinner and get to bed so we can rise early on Day 2.

  • Envisioning the scene.
  • Seeing and feeling the composition
